Slide

Each Hy-land Project comes with a Hy-Slide™. Its mounting hardware secures this heavy-duty slide both to the 1.50m high platform and the construction site. The use of UV-resistant HDPE structural foam enables the Hy-Slide™ to withstand the rigorous use of a commercial playground.

Safer surfacing

All play equipment must be installed over a impact attenuating surface according to the European Standard EN 1176-1:2008.(e.g. rubber, mulch, sand, grass, gravel rated for a fall height ≥ 1.5 m)

Timber

What kind of timber comes with a Hy-land Project?
We use pressure treated pine wood with 10 years guaranty against wood rot and infestation.

Safety

What is the weight the slide can carry?
The maximum weight is 200 kg.
Are the Projects safety approved?
Hy-land playgrounds are all type-approved by TÜV Rheinland, Germany accorded to European Standard EN 1176 – for use on public playgrounds.

Maintenance

When something is broken / damaged, is it possible to order the single part?
When the client can justify improper manufacturing and is in the possession of a dated proof of purchase, the item can be returned to the store. You can send the part to Hy-land for inspection and we will replace the part free of charge. Hy-land will replace defective goods within 30 days of acknowledgement of improper fabrication.

Swings

The range offers a free standing swing set, with 2 swing seats and chains. They don’t offer baby seats.

There is also a swing module that can attach to most of the climbing frames, except to the ones without a roof, like the Project 1 and Q1.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE WARRANTY ON A HY-LAND PROJECT?

Hy-land will give you a two-years guarantee for defects in materials or manufacturing. When one can justify improper manufacturing and is in the possession of a dated proof of purchase, the item can be returned to the store. The part will be send to Hy-land for inspection and we will replace the part free of charge. Hy-land will replace defective goods within 30 days of acknowledgement of improper fabrication. Any labour and other costs involved in replacing the materials are not covered by the warranty and are not reimbursed. Contact your dealer for the guarantee on the timber package.

COMMERCIAL PLAYGROUND INSTALLATIONS FOR HYLAND TOWERS – OPTIONAL EXTRA TO BE QUOTED SEPARATELY

Our installers are specialists in Hyland climbing frames installations as we have been doing this for many years.

We offer a comprehensive service, from design to completion for playgrounds and commercial play areas such as pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, farm shops, hotels, campsites, nurseries, schools and public playgrounds.

We will require a firm flat and level surface such as soil or grass, or hard surface providing you will install safety surface around it. If there is a loose surface in place, it needs to be moved aside to allow the firm base to be accessible for installation. If bonded rubber is in place, a repair job needs to be done and quoted separately.

The installation requires the slide, towers and swings to be concreted into the ground or if on hard surfaces, anchored into the ground with brackets. This is part of our installation service. We provide the necessary concrete within our price.

Our installation does not include any groundworks, as the area needs to be flat and level before arrival of our team.

The towers will be delivered previous to installation date, and our team will arrive on a different day to install the towers. We will need customers to check that all items are present and in good condition, or a cancellation fee will be charged if we cannot do the job due to missing or damaged items that were not checked.

Please make sure the items are moved after delivery, close to the area for installation.

Prices start at around £500.00 depending on the location for the smaller towers (Project 1 and 2) and for the swings.

We will need photos of the area and dimensions before we can confirm any installations. The recommended dimensions are important to comply with regulations.

DELIVERY TIMES ARE AROUND 2-3 WEEKS.
DELIVERY INFORMATION:
The  Hy Land range is delivered with a van service. You will be contacted in advance to arrange details;
If you have booked installation service with us, we will arrange delivery before the installation date.
We ask for someone to be present to sign for the delivery. You won’t need to help unloading.
This is  KERBSIDE delivery. The climbing frame will be placed where the van can park.
 
Please make sure you check the delivery with the delivery note that the driver gives you, to see if there is evidence of damaged or missing parcels. 
Please check the timber, kit and slide and let us know if there are any missing parts immediately. The slide can be checked upon delivery as it is easy to see while it is being delivered.
You won’t need to help unloading and the order can be placed in the play area if it is of easy access.
Any shortages, damages or non delivery must be reported in writing to Active Garden within 24hs of delivery. Any claims made after this date will only be considered at the discretion of the Hyland stockists.
STORAGE until installation:
  • PLEASE KEEP THE CARDBOARD BOXES INDOORS until installation to avoid paperwork damage and SAVE THE LOG BOOK AND MAINTENANCE INFORMATION FOR FUTURE REFERENCE AND TO COMPLY WITH REGULATIONS.
  • DON’T STORE TIMBER IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT UNTIL INSTALLATION, it can be covered with a tarpaulin to avoid too much movement on the timber before installation.
 If there are any access restrictions please contact us to discuss this, or explain it to the delivery company when they ring you to book in a date. We will endeavour to meet your needs.

HOW DO I INSTALL A HY-LAND PROJECT?

Every Hy-land Project is a combination of Kits – Kit A, Kit B, Kit C – a standard timber package and an impressive 3-meter-slide – Hy-slide™. You can find the right combinations of Kits for a Hy-land Project in the brochure and on the website www.hy-land.euExample: Project 7 requires 3x Kit A, 2x Kit B, 1x Kit C and 1x Hy-Slide™.

The kits come with instructions to install the projects yourselves (see below), or we can supply a professional installation service.

DO I NEED SPECIAL TOOLS TO INSTALL MY HY-LAND PROJECT?

Besides normal basic tools like a drill, wrench, and a screwdriver, there are no additional tools required. Furthermore, specific Hy-land bits are included to simplify the installation of your Hy-land Project.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO INSTALL MY HY-LAND PROJECT?

Installation depends on the size of the Project. The building of the smallest Hy-land Project takes ca. 6 hour by 2 persons (without preparation of the ground surface).

HOW DO I DETERMINE THE MINIMUM REQUIRED SPACE FOR A HY-LAND PROJECT?

All of the documentation of Hy-land clearly states exactly what minimum area is required to safely place each Project; this includes the space required around the Project.

CAN I ALTER THE DESIGN OF A HY-LAND PROJECT?

Hy-land Projects are type-approved and certified by an independent test organization, TüV Rheinland. When Hy-land Projects are built exactly according to the instructions, then each Project complies with EN 1176, the European standard for playground equipment for commercial use. When you make alterations to Hy-land configurations, the products are no longer certified as the safety of the product can no longer be guaranteed. As a result, you will have to certify the changed product yourself by a local testing agency.

ON WHAT KIND OF SURFACE CAN I BUILD A HY-LAND PROJECT?

Hy-land Projects can be built on a paved or non-paved surface. The ground surface should be flat, so the Project is not likely to shift or move. For exact specifications we refer to the European standards EN 1176. Active Garden can supply and install any type of safer surface.

HOW DOES A HY-LAND PROJECT NEED TO BE FASTENED TO THE GROUND?

Anchor Sets for placement of a Project on a paved surface (for e.g. rubber tiles) are supplied. For placement of a Hy-land Project on a non-paved ground surface, additional Anchor Sets are available.

WHICH SAFETY REQUIREMENTS MEET HY-LAND PROJECTS?

WHERE DOES THE ABBREVIATION EN 1176 STAND FOR?

EN 1176 is the European standard for playground safety. The standards specify general safety requirements for playgrounds and the playground environment.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT A HY-SLIDE™ CAN CARRY?

The maximum weight a Hy-slide™ can carry is approximately 200 kg. This is equal to 4 children of 50 kg.

HOW ABOUT THE SAFETY OF A HY-LAND PROJECT?

Hy-land Projects are smartly developed so that there is minimal risk of injury. The responsible operator should inspect a Project as specified in the owner manual to keep the Project as safe as possible.

DO I NEED TO HAVE MY HY-LAND PROJECT INSPECTED?

Hy-land Projects do not need inspections from an independent test organization. Not during assembly and not throughout the year. All Hy-land Projects come with a Checklist and Logbook. You can legitimately carry out the inspections yourself, that are mandatory for commercial playgrounds.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IN CASE OF A DEFECT?

In case of a defect, the Project should be considered unsafe and secured against use until repaired.

DO I NEED THE CHECKLIST AND LOGBOOK WHEN THE PROJECT IS BEING USED FOR RESIDENTIAL PURPOSES ONLY?

It is not an obligation when the Project is used for residential purposes. It is though an extra safety tool.

DO I NEED SPECIAL LICENSES FOR MY HY-LAND PROJECTS?

No, Hy-land Projects can be placed without licenses.

WHAT KIND OF MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED ON MY HY-LAND PROJECT?

As owner or operator it is your legal responsibility to carry out and record regular inspection and maintenance. A Checklist is provided with every Project. This Checklist specifies how a Hy-land Project and the ground surface should be inspected and maintained. Inspection and maintenance should be carried out according to standard EN 1176 and documented in a Logbook.

Timber

What kind of timber comes with a Hy-land Project?
We use pressure treated pine wood with 10 years guaranty against wood rot and infestation.

Safety

What is the weight the slide can carry?
The maximum weight is 200 kg.
Are the Projects safety approved?
Hy-land playgrounds are all type-approved by TÜV Rheinland, Germany accorded to European Standard EN 1176 – for use on public playgrounds.

Maintenance

When something is broken / damaged, is it possible to order the single part?
When the client can justify improper manufacturing and is in the possession of a dated proof of purchase, the item can be returned to the store. You can send the part to Hy-land for inspection and we will replace the part free of charge. Hy-land will replace defective goods within 30 days of acknowledgement of improper fabrication.

Swings

The range offers a free standing swing set, with 2 swing seats and chains. They don’t offer baby seats.

There is also a swing module that can attach to most of the climbing frames, except to the ones without a roof, like the Project 1 and Q1.

Hy-land will give you a two-years guarantee for defects in materials or manufacturing. When one can justify improper manufacturing and is in the possession of a dated proof of purchase, the item can be returned to the store. Any labour and other costs involved in replacing the materials are not covered by the warranty and are not reimbursed. Contact your dealer for the guarantee on the timber package.

COMMERCIAL PLAYGROUND INSTALLATIONS FOR HYLAND TOWERS – OPTIONAL EXTRA TO BE QUOTED SEPARATELY

Our installers are specialists in Hyland climbing frames installations as we have been doing this for many years.

We offer a comprehensive service, from design to completion for playgrounds and commercial play areas such as pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, farm shops, hotels, campsites, nurseries, schools and public playgrounds.

We will require a firm flat and level surface such as soil or grass, or hard surface providing you will install safety surface around it. If there is a loose surface in place, it needs to be moved aside to allow the firm base to be accessible for installation. If bonded rubber is in place, a repair job needs to be done and quoted separately.

The installation requires the slide, towers and swings to be concreted into the ground or if on hard surfaces, anchored into the ground with brackets. This is part of our installation service. We provide the necessary concrete within our price.

Our installation does not include any groundworks, as the area needs to be flat and level before arrival of our team.

The towers will be delivered previous to installation date, and our team will arrive on a different day to install the towers. We will need customers to check that all items are present and in good condition, or a cancellation fee will be charged if we cannot do the job due to missing or damaged items that were not checked.

Please make sure the items are moved after delivery, close to the area for installation.

Prices start at around £500.00 depending on the location for the smaller towers (Project 1 and 2) and for the swings.

We will need photos of the area and dimensions before we can confirm any installations. The recommended dimensions are important to comply with regulations.

DELIVERY INFORMATION:
The  Hy Land range is delivered with a van service. You will be contacted in advance to arrange details;
If you have booked installation service with us, we will arrange delivery before the installation date.
We ask for someone to be present to sign for the delivery. You won’t need to help unloading.
This is  KERBSIDE delivery. The climbing frame will be placed where the van can park.
 
Please make sure you check the delivery with the delivery note that the driver gives you, to see if there is evidence of damaged or missing parcels. 
Please check the timber, kit and slide and let us know if there are any missing parts immediately. The slide can be checked upon delivery as it is easy to see while it is being delivered.
You won’t need to help unloading and the order can be placed in the play area if it is of easy access.
Any shortages, damages or non delivery must be reported in writing to Active Garden within 24hs of delivery. Any claims made after this date will only be considered at the discretion of the Hyland stockists.
STORAGE until installation:
  • PLEASE KEEP THE CARDBOARD BOXES INDOORS until installation to avoid paperwork damage and SAVE THE LOG BOOK AND MAINTENANCE INFORMATION FOR FUTURE REFERENCE AND TO COMPLY WITH REGULATIONS.
  • DON’T STORE TIMBER IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT UNTIL INSTALLATION, it can be covered with a tarpaulin to avoid too much movement on the timber before installation.
 If there are any access restrictions please contact us to discuss this, or explain it to the delivery company when they ring you to book in a date. We will endeavour to meet your needs.

This is a different standard than the standard for private use (EN 71). A Project approved for commercial use can also be installed in a backyard.

HOW DO I INSTALL A HY-LAND PROJECT?

Every Hy-land Project is a combination of Kits – Kit A, Kit B, Kit C – a standard timber package and an impressive 3-meter-slide – Hy-slide™. You can find the right combinations of Kits for a Hy-land Project in the brochure and on the website www.hy-land.euExample: Project 7 requires 3x Kit A, 2x Kit B, 1x Kit C and 1x Hy-Slide™.

The kits come with instructions to install the projects yourselves (see below), or we can supply a professional installation service.

Besides normal basic tools like a drill, wrench, and a screwdriver, there are no additional tools required. Furthermore, specific Hy-land bits are included to simplify the installation of your Hy-land Project.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO INSTALL MY HY-LAND PROJECT?

Installation depends on the size of the Project. The building of the smallest Hy-land Project takes ca. 6 hour by 2 persons (without preparation of the ground surface).

HOW DO I DETERMINE THE MINIMUM REQUIRED SPACE FOR A HY-LAND PROJECT?

All of the documentation of Hy-land clearly states exactly what minimum area is required to safely place each Project; this includes the space required around the Project.

CAN I ALTER THE DESIGN OF A HY-LAND PROJECT?

Hy-land Projects are type-approved and certified by an independent test organization, TüV Rheinland. When Hy-land Projects are built exactly according to the instructions, then each Project complies with EN 1176, the European standard for playground equipment for commercial use. When you make alterations to Hy-land configurations, the products are no longer certified as the safety of the product can no longer be guaranteed. As a result, you will have to certify the changed product yourself by a local testing agency.

ON WHAT KIND OF SURFACE CAN I BUILD A HY-LAND PROJECT?

Hy-land Projects can be built on a paved or non-paved surface. The ground surface should be flat, so the Project is not likely to shift or move. For exact specifications we refer to the European standards EN 1176. Active Garden can supply and install any type of safer surface.

HOW DOES A HY-LAND PROJECT NEED TO BE FASTENED TO THE GROUND?

Anchor Sets for placement of a Project on a paved surface (for e.g. rubber tiles) are supplied. For placement of a Hy-land Project on a non-paved ground surface, additional Anchor Sets are available.

WHICH SAFETY REQUIREMENTS MEET HY-LAND PROJECTS?

All Hy-land Projects are type-approved and certified by an independent testing organization, TüV Rheinland. When Hy-land Projects are built according to the instruction manual, every Project meets the EN 1176, the European standard for use on commercial playgrounds.

WHERE DOES THE ABBREVIATION EN 1176 STAND FOR?

EN 1176 is the European standard for playground safety. The standards specify general safety requirements for playgrounds and the playground environment.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT A HY-SLIDE™ CAN CARRY?

The maximum weight a Hy-slide™ can carry is approximately 200 kg. This is equal to 4 children of 50 kg.

HOW ABOUT THE SAFETY OF A HY-LAND PROJECT?

Hy-land Projects are smartly developed so that there is minimal risk of injury. The responsible operator should inspect a Project as specified in the owner manual to keep the Project as safe as possible.

DO I NEED TO HAVE MY HY-LAND PROJECT INSPECTED?

Hy-land Projects do not need inspections from an independent test organization. Not during assembly and not throughout the year. All Hy-land Projects come with a Checklist and Logbook. You can legitimately carry out the inspections yourself, that are mandatory for commercial playgrounds.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IN CASE OF A DEFECT?

In case of a defect, the Project should be considered unsafe and secured against use until repaired.

DO I NEED THE CHECKLIST AND LOGBOOK WHEN THE PROJECT IS BEING USED FOR RESIDENTIAL PURPOSES ONLY?

It is not an obligation when the Project is used for residential purposes. It is though an extra safety tool.

DO I NEED SPECIAL LICENSES FOR MY HY-LAND PROJECTS?

No, Hy-land Projects can be placed without licenses.

WHAT KIND OF MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED ON MY HY-LAND PROJECT?

As owner or operator it is your legal responsibility to carry out and record regular inspection and maintenance. A Checklist is provided with every Project. This Checklist specifies how a Hy-land Project and the ground surface should be inspected and maintained. Inspection and maintenance should be carried out according to standard EN 1176 and documented in a Logbook.
